Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams, each consisting of nine players. The game is played on a diamond-shaped field with four bases: first base, second base, third base, and home plate. The objective is to score runs by hitting a pitched ball and running around the bases to return to home plate. The team that is fielding tries to get the batters out through various methods, such as catching the ball in the air, throwing it to a base ahead of a runner, or striking them out. The game typically consists of nine innings, during which each team has a chance to bat and field. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins. Baseball is known for its unique terminology, distinct strategic elements, and rich history, often referred to as America’s pastime.
