Legacy

Legacy refers to something that is handed down or passed on from one generation to another. It often pertains to the values, traditions, and influences that are inherited or carried forward, which can include cultural, social, or familial aspects. Additionally, legacy can refer to the tangible or intangible contributions left behind by an individual or organization, such as a fortune, ideas, achievements, or reputation that continue to impact others after the original entity has ceased to exist or has moved on. In various contexts, including law, finance, and personal history, a legacy can have different implications, but fundamentally, it denotes the lasting mark one leaves in the world or within a community.
