International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions between sovereign states, as well as various non-state actors, such as international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multinational corporations, on a global scale. It encompasses a wide range of issues including diplomacy, conflict resolution, trade, human rights, and global governance. The field examines the ways in which countries engage with one another, the power dynamics at play, the formation of alliances and treaties, and the impact of international law. IR seeks to understand how political, economic, cultural, and social factors influence the relationships among countries and how these interactions affect global stability and security. Theoretical frameworks within IR include realism, liberalism, constructivism, and more, each offering different perspectives on the motivations and behaviors of states in the international system.
